Our Team

The editorial board of Tvergastein currently consists of master’s students at the University of Oslo. Members come from multiple different countries and have a wide variety of academic backgrounds. The editorial board has a flat structure and a consensus decision-making model. All members share the responsibility of co-editing and a number of members hold or share specific portfolios of responsibility.

The current members of the board are:

Marcus Johansen

Marcus holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oslo (UiO) and is currently enrolled in the master’s program Development, Environment and Cultural Change at UiO. He is interested in political philosophy, environmental justice, and urban political ecology.
Ida Snoksrud

Ida holds a bachelor’s degree in Culture and Communication from the University of Oslo (UiO) and is currently enrolled in the master’s program Development, Environment and Cultural Change at UiO. She is interested in language, discourse and rhetoric.
Audrey Jacobsen

Audrey holds a bachelor’s degree in History and Literature from the University of Michigan and is currently pursuing a master’s in Development, Environment, and Cultural Change at UiO. She is interested in city planning and the impacts of tourism and second home ownership on rural communities.
Tianshu Li

Tianshu holds two bachelor degrees: one in music and the other in sociology and religion. She is currently pursuing her master degree in Development, Environment, and Cultural Change at UiO. She is interested in the fields of consumption, social justice, culture, ESG, and environmental humanities.
Maricarmen Gonzalez

Maricarmen from Mexico is currently enrolled in the master’s in Development, Environment and Cultural Change at the University of Oslo and holds a master’s degree in Sustainability, Entrepreneurhip and Innovation from the University of Nottingham. Her interests include film, music, environmental humanities, indigenous cosmovisions and cultural promotion.
